Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer - [Javascript, Data analytics]
About this Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AdTech Engineer with expertise in data analytics, data quality, and privacy compliance to join our targeting and privacy compliance team. In this role, you will work closely with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to enhance the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of our advertising data ecosystem. Your contributions will be key in ensuring our ad solutions are data-driven, privacy-compliant, and optimized for performance.
You Will...
- Enhance Data Analytics & Quality: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics tools to improve data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across our advertising ecosystem.
- Privacy & Compliance: Ensure ad tech systems align with industry privacy regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, TCF), implementing best practices for consent management, data governance, and secure data handling.
- Optimize Ad Performance: Leverage data analytics to enhance ad viewability, CPM optimization, and user experience, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Develop Scalable AdTech Solutions: Architect and implement high-performance ad-related data systems, focusing on data processing, attribution modeling, and event tracking.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with product managers, data engineers, and analytics teams to define requirements, technical specifications, and data strategies.
- Monitoring & Debugging: Build and implement data validation frameworks, monitoring dashboards, and anomaly detection systems to maintain high data integrity.
- Innovation & Experimentation: Identify opportunities to improve ad targeting, data pipelines, and privacy-first ad solutions, conducting experiments and analyzing outcomes.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Support the team by mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices in data-driven decision-making and compliance.
You Have...
- Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on AdTech, Data Engineering, or Analytics.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Javascript, NodeJS, Java, Python, SQL, and distributed data processing frameworks.
- Data Proficiency: Hands-on experience with large-scale data pipelines, data warehousing, and monitoring tools (Datadog, Amplitude).
- Privacy & Compliance: Strong knowledge of user privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, IAB TCF) and experience in implementing privacy-first advertising solutions.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with experience in data validation, debugging, and resolving data inconsistencies.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate ideas effectively.
Bonus Points...
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with the digital advertising ecosystem, including programmatic advertising, Prebid, Google Ad Manager (GAM), SSPs/DSPs, and real-time bidding (RTB).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools.
- Experience working with CDNs and caching strategies and VCL.
