About the Role:

We’re seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to join our collaborative team of engineers, scientists, and healthcare professionals working on transformative AI solutions. In this role, you’ll help develop and maintain the backend infrastructure that supports scalable and secure AI-driven applications in healthcare, with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow alongside experienced mentors.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain backend systems to support AI applications in healthcare.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and ML engineers, to develop efficient data pipelines.

• Help design APIs and microservices for smooth data retrieval and interaction with AI models.

• Assist in implementing data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive healthcare data.

• Monitor backend performance and help troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Participate in team discussions and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

• Work closely with product managers to understand user requirements and assist in transforming them into technical solutions.

What We’re Looking For (Must-Have):

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent coursework/projects).

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar through coursework, internships, or personal projects.

• Basic understanding of how cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (like Docker) work.

• Exposure to working with databases and building simple RESTful APIs.

• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies.

Nice-to-Have (But Not Required):

• Experience with personal or academic projects involving backend development.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, version control) or container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts or a desire to learn about them.

• Knowledge of modern web frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django, or Spring Boot).

• Awareness of data privacy and security best practices, especially in regulated environments.
