The ideal candidate has an exceptional, proven track record in 3D generative model development and is an outstanding software engineer who can prototype and verify novel algorithms. The aim of this role is to develop and advance state of the art research in 3D/4D Generative AI technologies.AI Research Scientist, 3D/4D Generative AI Responsibilities
- Research and develop novel computer vision models in Generative AI, with a focus on photorealistic 3D/4D scene generation
- Publish research results at top-tier international conferences
- Collaborate with team members throughout the lifetime of a project, from early research through prototyping
- Develop research that can be applied to Meta’s VR/AR product development
- PhD in the field of computer vision, machine learning, robotics, or equivalent
- 2+ years of work experience in a faculty, industry, or government research position with primary emphasis on AI research
- Background in generative AI, 3D computer vision, video, and image generation
- Experience designing generative machine learning algorithms, including data curation, large-scale training, and inference of novel ML architectures
- Experience working in cross functional collaborations
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
- Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences such as CVPR, ECCV/ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH
- Experience in AI research beyond completing a PhD
- Demonstrated software engineering experience via internships, work experiences, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub.)
- Mathematical background and understanding of numerical optimization, linear algebra, probabilistic estimation, and 3D geometry
- Experience with prototyping algorithms in Pytorch
