The hBCC function supports the business with the use of the hELIOS platform and the onboarding and maintenance activities associated with its use. 

Activities incorporated in the hBCC are as follows:

  • Help the local markets to plan and implement the onboarding of new treaties to the hELIOS platform i.e. Treaty Management (Reinsurance plan definition) and Data engineering (data transformation packages implementation).
  • Foster best practice use of the hELIOS platform; define and maintain global process and procedures documentation and provide training to support the business.
  • Provide efficient and flexible support to internal and external customers on the transition to and in Business as Usual (BAU)
  • Provide expertise and capabilities in terms of Business intelligence and reporting.
  • Governance and controls
    • Promote and support alignment on hELIOS Operational Processes & Roles.
    • Ensure the consistency of the hELIOS platform by identifying and prioritizing the enhancements needed.
    • Contribute to guarantee the good integration of the hELIOS platform within SCOR process/application landscape.
  • Support Premium Bordereaux processing issues
    • Triage and analyse issues encountered during the processing of premium bordereaux either in Data Engineering or Life Admin
    • Make corrections to the data transformations or mappings to resolve the issues

 

  • Support Claim Bordereaux Onboarding 

We are currently implementing new functionality to load, verify and store claim data from the cedents onto the system.  This requires the claim data to be mapped and transformed into a standard format and then tested on the system.  You will work closely with actuarial staff, client administrators and other members of the hbcc. The stakeholders will be based in offices in different locations. Key tasks:

  • Creation of mappings. You will create the mappings required to translate the cedent claim data into the helios standard format. You will be expected to acquire an in-depth knowledge of hELIOS reference data, functionality and life insurance/reinsurance products and data in a short space of time. 
  • Support the data engineers in their understanding of the claim data in order to facilitate coding of the routines to transform the data to a standard format
  • Test the processing of the claim data end to end through the system 
  • Flexibility will be required to assist with other data-oriented tasks relating to the system implementation which may arise

 

  • Support Life Admin Release Testing
    • We are regularly enhancing the functionality of Life Admin and fixing any bugs found during previous testing. You will be involved in the testing of the tickets released into the test system as well as performing non regression testing and sanity testing.

 

  • Business Support
    • Acquire skills required to become a hELIOS Super User for Life Admin functionality in order to be able to provide expert advice to business users
    • Creation and maintenance of system and process documentation

Required Education 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Strong exam results at GCSE and A Level
  • BSc Undergraduate degree - minimum grade 2:1 
  • Strong computer literacy skills. Experience using MS Excel and MS Access
  • Strong English language skills – written and verbal

Desirable Skills: 

  • Coding experience 
  • Prior work experience in an office environment
