Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures or algorithms.
• 3 years of experience with Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) algorithms and tools or natural language processing.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with machine learning, supervised and unsupervised learning, clustering, semi-supervised learning, anomaly detection, and Large Language Model (LLM) fine-tuning.
• Experience with data analysis and Machine Learning frameworks like Numpy, Scikit-learn, pandas, SQL, or Matplotlib.
• Experience in C++ or Python.
• Knowledge of fundamental computer science concepts and Google infrastructure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including databases, operating systems, algorithms, and Machine Learning.

Responsibilities

• Be a back-end engineer and demonstrate your knowledge in Machine Learning to combat abuse and keep our users safe.
• Perform online/offline integrations with various Google systems to get signals, features and verdicts.
• Collaborate with skilled, domain expert analysts, prepare and setup data pipelines for analysis and machine learning modeling.
• Ideate, write code and make things happen to improve the automated review and detection models.
• Guide projects in collaboration across other shopping horizontals teams using your Machine Learning knowledge to define the projects, solutions and guide execution.
