Your team

You’ll be working in the Big Data Platform Services team, within Group CTO, and work closely with team members in other locations in Europe and Asia and the US. Together we drive consistency across business divisions and optimize operations and support costs, by providing timely, robust, cost effective and well architected data platform solutions and products to our clients.
We architect, engineer and support data platform solutions in the cloud using various data platform products as well as both on prem using Cloudera. Your team is instrumental in setting the direction and strategy for the Center of Excellence across the bank for big data technologies with your primary focus being in the feature curation and solution engineering team across BDS platforms.
Teamwork is pivotal to our success, it plays a very important role and you will be working closely with BDS product managers, advisory SMEs and big data platform core systems integration teams.

Your expertise

• proven expertise and knowledge on Azure Databricks unified data platform is mandatory
• proven expertise in full stack integration of big data platform products (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Databricks SQL, Delta Live Tables, MLFlow, PowerBI, Azure Policy, ADLS, AAD, SCIM, Gitlab)
• very good understanding of data management and data governance with exposure to Microsoft Purview
• proven expertise in working on modern data platform architecture and understanding of emerging trends (data mesh, data discovery, data catalogs, ELT/ETL patterns)
• knowledge and working experience in Microsoft Fabric is a plus
• ideally 8+ years of proven expertise in building data processing and data analytics solutions with professional certification qualification (e.g. data engineering DP-203 and/or Databricks ML practitioner)
• ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
• track record of influencing senior IT stakeholders and business partners
• confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences
• capable of understanding client needs and translating this into products and services
