Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented AI Engineering Research Assistant to join our team! In this role you will get to help design, develop, test and deploy AI/ML services

What You'll Be Doing:

• You’ll be part of a small research cohort that will seek to start and complete a short 2-month project that will exercise the entire Software Development Lifecycle for experimental applications of Artificial Intelligence.
• You will be attending daily Agile Scrums and get experience working with the Scalable Agile Framework (SAFe) to define and deliver work products.
• You will be working on an isolated, cloud-accessible testbed to deploy AI solutions that you create to specific problem spaces.
• You will be using Gitlab to manage DevSecOps best principles.
• You will be responsible for proposing a sample problem space that AI can help solve and then developing a small prototype that can be showcased.
• You will be creating presentations and design briefs
• You will be creating software designs using certain UML diagrams for presentation by you

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Curiosity and Demonstrated Drive (bring portfolio items)
• Pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer/Electronic Engineering disciplines.
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of current AI/ML technologies and methodologies, and experience with creating / interacting with them – specifically reinforcement learning and generative AI.
• Proficiency with multiple programming languages and frameworks, but specifically JavaScript, Python, PyTorch, Tensorflow, React
• Exposure to / working familiarity with AWS
• Proficiency with environment and configuration management tools:  Visual Studio, Eclipse, GIT, JIRA, Maven, Gitlab or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Windows (primary) and Linux operating systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and be self-motivated. 
• Ability to work individually and with a team.
• Ability to quickly learn and creatively leverage new technologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Familiarity with notable AI advances like GPT & AlphaZero
• Use of AWS for AI services
• Familiarity with real-time strategy games: (ex. StarCraft, and games like it)
• Familiarity with how to use mapping technologies: OpenLayers, OpenStreetMap, ArcGIS / ESRI, Leaflet, Cesium (3D)
• Familiarity with data visualization and charting libraries: (ex. D3, Chart.js)
• Familiarity with Data pump libraries: Faker.js
• Familiarity with 3D visualization technologies: three.js, AR, etc.

Salary Range: 

$21.44 - $37.55
