Data Analyst & Consultant, Operations Performance & Strategy

Key Accountabilities

• Build dashboard using Tableau, Tableau Prep, Alteryx, and data scripts
• Pull, maintain, and cleanse reports from internal IHG databases, cloud and servers for daily, weekly and monthly collection for quality data accuracy
• Creating, regular checking and improvement of process workflow for any changes that may affect the entirety of data sources and dashboards
• Analyze trending performance data and identify strategic opportunities for the organization
• Publish and deliver final data to appear in core dashboards
• Support end users to master dashboards, extract useable insight and provide demonstration of dashboards
• Qualify data and figures used by the broader team for different processes
•  Collaborate with internal and external teams

Key Skills & Experiences

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. 

Experience: At least 5 or more years progressive work-related experience working preferably with data mining, reporting tools and systems, and data analysis; demonstrated proficiency and understanding in one or more functions related to the position. 

• Business Partner and Stakeholder Management – has experienced collaborating with various business partners and stakeholders
• Data Management – 1-3 years of experience in using data to drive evidence-based decision making such as but not limited to: Extract and manipulate data in a timely and accurate manner.  Maintain various databases and data sources
• Problem Solving – Experience in resolving technical challenges in a calm and measured approach

 
Technical Skills & Knowledge 

• Create, update, maintain Tableau dashboards. Or willing to be trained on new systems and technical skills  
• Use of Alteryx and/or Tableau Prep to process varied and disparate data sets for cleaning and synthesizing combined and aligned data sources
• Knowledge and familiarity in Google Cloud Platform
• Preferable adept to programming languages like Python and SQL
• Advance level in MS Excel such as vLook Up, pivots, macros, etc.
• Demonstrate technical aptitude with various computer systems and data applications and analytical thinking
• Establish a strong working knowledge of the different business functional areas and act as point of contact to respective stakeholders
• Ability to communicate prolifically to senior and executive leaders and simplify the complex
• Ability to influence people at all levels of the organization while achieving results without supervision. Create and manage large-scale changes
