Head of Data Analysis and Insights

Job Summary:

The Head of Data Analysis and Insights is responsible for leading the organization's data-driven decision-making processes by managing data collection, analysis, and reporting. This role involves developing and implementing data strategies, collaborating with data engineering to optimize the data infrastructure, and providing actionable insights to drive business decision making. The individual will work closely with leadership, product teams, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and relevance for strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Leadership:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy to support business objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, ensuring high-quality data analysis and reporting.
• Foster a data-driven culture within the organization by promoting best practices in data analytics and insights.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align data initiatives with company goals.

Data Collection & Management:

• Oversee the collection, storage, and integration of data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Work with data engineering and IT teams to enhance data infrastructure and implement data governance policies to achieve easy and securely managed access to data.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry best practices.

Data Analysis & Insights Generation:

• Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
• Provide actionable recommendations to optimize business performance and improve decision-making.
• Utilize statistical models and machine learning techniques to enhance predictive analytics capabilities.
• Work with your stakeholders in a business partner model and act as proactive business consultant.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with marketing, product, finance, and operations teams to leverage data for better decision-making.
• Present key insights to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
• Partner with external vendors and consultants to expand analytical capabilities when necessary.

Requirements

• Technical & Analytical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of data analytics tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, R, Lookerstudio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies.
• Sound understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
• Experience & Education:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience working with large datasets and translating complex data into actionable business insights.
