About the team

Our Data & AI team comprises of over 500 specialist practitioners across Australia, each of whom are constantly curious and excited about combining their business acumen and technological expertise to create data-centric solutions that help solve complex problems and transform or reinvent our client’s business.

Our Data & AI team work with public and private sector clients helping them to design and implement world leading solutions and capabilities. From solving air and ground transport network issues through our industry-first Optimal Reality digital twin solution, bringing automation capabilities to vaccine rollout programs, to helping our clients move to a sustainable world, we are the partner of choice for our clients and our alliance vendors.

Our technology relationships with market leading vendors such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Apple, Snowflake, Salesforce, and Informatica enable our practitioners to be at the forefront of new and emerging capabilities and to deliver our suite of services at scale. Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

 We are looking for an Engineering Lead who brings the following capabilities: 
 

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience architecting, designing and implementing data engineering, data management and/or AI solutions
• A strong grasp of data & AI fundamentals, advanced SQL and database skills, with hands-on experience implementing data warehouses, data lakes or data integration solutions.
• Experience leading discussions with stakeholders and guiding junior team members
• Hands-on development experience in at least one of the major hyperscaler cloud platforms - Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Databricks and Snowflake.
• Hand-on development experience using at least one common data integration and processing technologies such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, DBT, Matillion, Fivetran, Talend, Informatica
• Strong software development fundamentals including version control, unit testing as well as continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Experience designing and developing cloud Infrastructure as Code and incorporating into DevOps processes and software development lifecycle
• Experience with Python, C#, Java or similar programming languages
• Experience developing data visualisations solutions using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker etc.
• Previous consulting or client-facing experience is highly regarded
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfort working in a flexible and dynamic environment.
• Technical certifications will be highly regarded.
