In HPs' commercial organization Digital GTM Advanced Analytics COE, our mission is to deliver impact by building machine learning (ML) products to optimize pricing, marketing investments and provide guidance to sales and other HP teams.

 

We're looking for an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Data Engineering Team.

 

Job Summary
This role is responsible for ensuring hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases of a software feature, solution, or product. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical expertise to navigate challenges, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive innovation. The role is responsible for defining the overall approach and architecture, driving overall quality plan and ensuring the on-time delivery and escalation, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Technical Program Manager you would participate, contribute and be responsible for an area in the data stewardship and solution architecture program and/or become a semi-subject matter level expertise in a key area of HPs’ data – analyze, rearchitecture and transformation, governance, acquisition and documentation of data.

• Own track and continuesly improve area(s) in the data catalog and ensure correct usage by downstream teams

• Build our data knowledge and explain how the data is generated and used and drive the continuous improvement of all knowledge assets relating to our data pipelines and data products of that area

• Contribute to the agile process or to data engineering development by building and maintaining high quality data pipelines

The Senior Technical Program Manager may also take part in:
• Leads portions of the planning and execution of multiple complex technical projects or programs in support of the continuing evolution of the organization's software products.
• Develops software roadmaps based on product and technical requirements and business needs.
• Partners with cross-functional software development teams to help them prioritize, plan, track and execute complex, cross organizational programs.
• Performs program analysis, manages risk, identifies and influences necessary course corrections.
• Continuously assesses and improves the processes that comprise the software development lifecycle.
• Manages risks and resolves issues that affect release, scope, schedule, and quality of highly visible, complex programs.
• Provides technical leadership and guidance to ensure that solutions meet quality and performance standards.
• Communicates project status, progress, and challenges through regular reporting and presentations to leadership.
• Encourages innovation within project teams and facilitate the exploration of new technologies and solutions.
• Ensures that all stakeholders are aligned towards a common goal by meeting and receiving feedback on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in a program/project manager or similar role

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management or releated field

•Comprehensive experience in quality data engineering, data analysis and or governance

• Analytical and problem-solving experiences with data or software systems

• Background in data analysis, data engineering or data stewardship.

• Databricks, SQL, PySpark, Pandas, Data Modelling - strong advantage

• Software Development experience - advantage
• Scrum experience - advantage
