Job Description

Objective of the role

• This role will be an integral part of SUSE’s Product Management team, and will enable that team with a well-rounded data-driven understanding and profile of different products, with an objective to support the formulation of portfolio, product and pricing strategies.
• The role encompasses analysis and reporting based on analytics on data from Sales, Customer Support, Finance, Customer Center, cloud Providers and other systems.   
• The role will also support the definition of key data structures to help on the implementation by other team
• The role is a maternity cover position. It is expected to last 12 months.

Focus Area

• Work with the Lead Analytics and Insights, other Data Analysts a and Product Management leadership team to prioritise business and information needs.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to formulate requirements for reporting and business intelligence.
• Develop a comprehensive product-wise Revenue/ACV/TCV analysis across channels and routes-to-market.
• Work with the SUSE Customer Center and the Telemetry teams to build a profile of product specific usage statistics.
• Help with the analysis of patterns of different products and solutions that are provided to the Product Management team to support future product development.
• Support portfolio overview dashboards for reviews with senior leadership, on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Generate and maintain reports and analysis for the Product Management team as part of the Quarterly Business Reviews of products and solutions.
• Provide analysis and reports to support different pricing initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance to deliver revenue/ACV/TCV analysis on a regular cadence.
• Identify and address any data quality issues in collaboration with the Business Intelligence, Operations and Analytics teams across different functions.
• Design appropriate data models to host the required analysis for the Product area
• Develop appropriate documentation and establish strong communication with business stakeholders.
• Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support business reviews, product and solution initiatives.

About You

• Ability to analyse and categorize big amounts of data with various BI tools is key, as well as efficient means of validating the quality of the information produced.
• Advanced experience with typical BI tools (ideally in Power BI) , both as a user and report developer.
• 3+ years of experience in Sales analytics, Financial analytics, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Reporting or similar fields.
• Experience in SalesForce is a plus
• Data architecture knowledge
• Strong communication skills with an ability to concisely summarize the outcome of data analysis for a business audience.
• Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or study. 
• Strong people skills, since the role involves working and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, disciplines and business units across the company.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, or any other related field.
• Prior experience in an enterprise high tech or software environment.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
• Fluency in English is required. Command of a second European language (German, French, Dutch) is nice to have.
