The Research Assistant 2 will be working in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with Professor Zhao on Identifying Pain Points with Data Mining and NLP.
Responsibilities:
Identifying Pain Points with Data Mining and NLP.
Developing surrogate LCA models to fill in data gaps for components lacking full environmental data.
Clustering for Component Classification using unsupervised ML techniques, such as k-means clustering.
Implementing ML-driven dynamic LCA models that simulate multiple lifecycle scenarios.
Education and Experience:
MSc in Mechanical Engineering or related area
Experience in applying data mining techniques to the extensive Bill of Materials databas
Experience in ML-Powered Surrogate LCA Models.
Familiar with Dynamic LCA and Sensitivity Analysis
Familiar with Schneider Electric's LCA data management
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
