Collaborate with our Risk Modelling and Risk Reporting teams to implement complex logic in DBT, design and optimize data pipelines, and ensure data quality. We are looking for a Medior Analytics Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytics and the ability to implement complex logic in DBT (Data Build Tool) and Python. In this role, you will work closely with the business as part of the Risk-spoke, a multidisciplinary team of experts from the Data & Analytics department and business representatives.
You will help us transition legacy systems to NIBC's centralized cloud data platform. This is not merely a migration; we enable our business to leverage the platform to create their own data products. You will be there to help them, with excellent communication skills, defining user requirements, and assisting with hands-on implementation in our cloud platform. With every use case you deliver, you ensure value is delivered to and with the business counterpart. You are the expert we rely on to build robust solutions, consider data quality, and leverage your expertise to model, test, and document data.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define user requirements and translate them into technical specifications;
Implementation: Implement solutions directly within the cloud platform, ensuring they meet business needs and technical standards;
Data Quality Assurance: Ensure high data quality by building robust solutions, conducting thorough testing, and maintaining documentation;
Collaboration: Work closely with the business domain, IT experts, and your own colleagues of the Data & Analytics department;
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, transformations, and business logic;
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data modelling, DBT and analytics.

We created the data & analytics team to enable our business to deliver high quality data products using a modern cloud data platform. The mission of this technology driven department is to ensure that data can be sourced, ingested, integrated, and consumed through well designed, automated, and simple to use services and frameworks. The risk spoke is an agile team that works in close cooperation with Risk Management departments.

What do you bring?
Experience: 5+ years as an Analytics Engineer or business analyst with a focus on data integration;
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized university;
Proficiency in DBT: Ability to implement complex logic and workflows using DBT;
Proven experience in writing production grade Python code and implementing models;
Cloud & Data Platforms: Strong familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), Power BI, data lakes, and modern data architectures;
Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge the gap between technical and business teams;
Experience with risk or banking-specific regulations is an advantage;
Experience with MATLAB applications and operationalizing risk models is a pre.
