Job Title: Senior Data Engineer I

Job Location: 6770 Edmond Street, Las Vegas, NV 89118

Job Type: Full-time, 9am – 5pm, 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday

Duties: Lead, manage and execute the designing, development and operationalization of data integration, engineering and data platform services to support enterprise data programs. Develop production-grade code through vision, design, development, test, deployment and operational support. Lead, develop and execute production-grade data integration and engineering code end-to-end through vision, definition, development, deployment and sustainment. Partner with Product Management to ensure data design, engineering and implementation is in accordance with design intention and meets business needs. Technical design documentation in adherence to business, source system, target system, and solution architecture requirements. Work with technology leadership to identify, implement new technologies and techniques that can improve our overall platform performance and ultimate customer experience. Mentor junior engineer and lead analysis of product tradeoffs and deliver simple and intuitive products that just work. Develop and maintain relationships with diverse teams spanning all organizational levels to effectively articulate technology solution and gain trust and buy-in. Hybrid work permitted 3 days per week within a reasonable commuting distance of Las Vegas, Nevada Office.

Requirements: At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field and five (5) years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Engineer/Bigdata Developer, Bigdata Engineer, Hadoop Developer, Java Developer, or related occupation where experience was gained. Employer will accept Seven (7) of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Engineer/Bigdata Developer, Bigdata Engineer, Hadoop Developer, Java Developer, or related occupation where experience was gained, in lieu of a degree. Also requires at least 2 years of experience in the following:

• Delivering data integration, data engineering service and data platform solutions.
• Best practices of various data integration, data engineering and platform engineering mechanisms.
• Various choices of data platforms, ETL tools, Cloud IAAS/PAAS, scripting tools.
• Data architecture and data modeling and;
• Data governance, data quality, data security and compliance.
