Job Duties

As a 5G SA Core Architect, you will serve as a technical expert in the 5G SA Core domain, tasked with designing the network for future 5G SA deployments. Your role encompasses assessing vendor solutions, maintaining High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD), supporting QA ATP processes, and overseeing the production rollout of the 5G Combo Core.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement 5G SA Core network functions across a cutting-edge cloud-native network, ensuring that solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices.

• Lead network migration and upgrades using multi-vendor network equipment.

• Serve as the technical lead on projects, coordinating with cross-domain teams.

• Manage project scopes, timelines, and resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of services.

• Conduct technical risk assessments and provide mitigation solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

• 8+ years of experience in the Wireless Telecom Industry, with at least 6 years in Core network Delivery.

• Hands-on experience with 5G SA packet core network design, implementation, and testing, including insights into how 5G differs in scope and technology from previous generations.

• Knowledge and/or documented work experience on the following 5G signaling and packet core functions: NRF/NSSF/NEF/SCP/BSF/SEPP/UPF/AMF/SMF.

• Familiarity with containers and relevant technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Openshift.

• Understanding of 5G SA Call flows on SBI interfaces and HTTP communication flows and contents.

• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD methodology. Proven work experience in 5G / CUPS / LTE.

• Proficiency in network management and monitoring tools.

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong leadership skills and experience in team and vendor management.

• Self-starter, capable of working independently, innovative and eager to learn state-of-the-art technologies.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Complete Core Network functions like UDM/UDR/AUSF/PCF/IMS.

• Knowledge of Python scripting or any other scripting language (bash, Tcl).

• Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent.

• Thorough understanding of Data Performance Metrics and knowledge of Protocol Analysis, Wireshark, NetScout, RADCOM, or other similar tools.

• General understanding of standard telecom and networking protocols, components such as HTTPS, DNS, SRV6, TCP/IP, ICMP, and load balancing.

Preferred Certifications

• CKA, CCNA, CCNP

• 5G SA Architecture & Design Certification

• Certification in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning
