We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Brazil. The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying state-of-the-art AI solutions tailored for the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in machine learning, generative AI, and natural language processing, with a passion for tackling complex problems using multimodal data.
What You'll Do at OM1
- Develop innovative AI solutions for healthcare applications, leveraging multimodal datasets.
- Develop foundation models using state-of-art architectures, algorithms and technology from the AI community.
- Derive performance metrics and communicate them to stake-holders.
- Generate evidence to highlight the clinical relevance and value of AI solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a supportive and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Lead and manage independent projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Efficiently handle and process large, complex datasets.
What Experience You'll Bring
- Strong background in deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing
- Hands-on experience coding in Python and proficiency in packages such as pytorch, tensorflow, langchain, llama-index, scikit-learn, numpy, scipy, pandas, matplotlib etc.
- Experience working with large datasets using SQL
- Familiarity with both open-source and proprietary generative AI models (e.g., prompt engineering, fine tuning, retrieval-augmented generation).
- Master’s degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, etc) with at least 5 years of relevant experience; OR
- Ph.D. in a related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
