AI Data Analyst - Houston, TX

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Data Analyst with a strong statistical and analytical background to join our team. This role requires deep expertise in data validation, statistical modeling, and AI-driven analytics to extract insights from complex datasets. You will be responsible for identifying inconsistencies, tracking financial data, and providing actionable insights to both medical and executive teams.

A key component of this role is working with medical research data, ensuring the accuracy of clinical, pharmaceutical, and healthcare-related analytics. Additionally, this role will support billing analytics, including tracking charges, payments, and revenue trends. You will provide detailed financial breakdowns to executives, enabling informed business decisions.

You will also implement AI-driven tools and frameworks to optimize data processing and automate analysis, ensuring that our business intelligence efforts leverage the latest in analytics and AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Validation & Analysis: Examine large datasets for inconsistencies, anomalies, and errors using advanced statistical methods.
• Statistical Modeling: Utilize statistical techniques such as p-values, confidence intervals, regression models, hypothesis testing, and predictive analytics to extract meaningful insights.
• AI & Machine Learning Integration: Work with AI/ML frameworks to improve data processing and automate analytical workflows.
• Billing & Financial Analytics: Track medical billing charges, payments, and revenue trends. Analyze financial data to identify inefficiencies and optimize revenue cycles. Provide detailed financial reports and data-driven recommendations to executives for business strategy.
• Medical Research Analytics: Work with medical data, ensuring statistical integrity in research studies, clinical trials, and healthcare analytics.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Engage with research teams, healthcare professionals, billing teams, and business units to understand data needs and tailor analysis accordingly.
• Business Intelligence & Reporting: Primary BI Tool: Metabase – Build dashboards, generate reports, and provide insights using Metabase. Develop automated AI-enhanced dashboards and reports for improved decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and AI-driven analytics.
• Strong statistical foundation, including expertise in p-values, significance testing, Bayesian analysis, and machine learning techniques.
• Proficiency in AI/ML tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or similar.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience working with medical data, clinical trials, healthcare analytics, or financial/billing datasets is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to identify inconsistencies, track financial data, and interpret complex datasets with precision.
• Experience with Metabase for BI reporting and familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Ability to generate highly accurate reports, even when receiving input from non-technical departments.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data governance, and regulatory requirements in healthcare analytics (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills and Key Attributes:

• Experience in deep learning and neural networks for advanced data modeling.
• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) for medical text analysis.
• Experience working with big data technologies
