What You’ll Be Doing

 

The qualified candidate will apply their knowledge of and experience with statistical and economic analysis to support senior staff in [AE1] delivering consulting services to utility, government, non-profit, and corporate clients. They will work on a range of complex issues related to demand side management (DSM), which encompasses distributed energy resources, electrification, decarbonization, demand response, energy efficiency, flexible load resources, sustainability, and retail rate design.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research, primary and secondary data collection, statistical and econometric data analysis, and reporting tasks to support consulting engagements with clients, including those related to transportation and building electrification, DSM and renewable energy potential or planning studies, and DSM program and policy evaluations.
  • Analyze collected data and synthesize research findings to resolve research questions, identify trends, and derive insights relevant to client objectives.
  • Assist translating research findings and analysis results into meaningful conclusions supported by demonstrable data and develop actionable recommendations for energy utility clients.
  • Write report sections that clearly explain research findings and analysis results, methodologies, and data sources.
  • Assist with developing client PowerPoint presentations, memos, and reports. This could include creating excel-based figures to showcase research findings and clearly convey takeaway messages.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of your own project deliverables to ensure high-quality, accurate, and error-free work.
  • Work closely and actively communicate with project team members to accomplish project goals. Provide clear and consistent communications on projects and tasks and raise any concerns or issues before they become problems, provide and receive constructive feedback, and manage expectations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally (oral and written) with colleagues and clients, in varying time zones.
  • Work independently and collaboratively across Cadmus to deliver high-value solutions to clients.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in economics, statistics, data science, or other quantitative social scientific field.
  • Undergraduate level understanding of econometrics and inferential statistics.
  • 0-2 Years of professional experience.
  • Experience with statistical software programs such as R, Python, SAS, or Stata.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Initiative and ability to prioritize and self-direct on assignments, including adapting to changes in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, deliverable driven workplace.
  • Desire to grow professionally and take on challenging work assignments.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $60,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
