Role: Data Analytics and Operations Transformation Intern

Department: GDIA - GOS

This is an internship role in the Globa Data Integration & Analytics department of GOS. GDIA supports all divisions and programs in GOS with CI/Operational Transformation, Information Delivery (BI/analytics), Data quality, and Data Literacy/competence workstreams.

Key responsibilities:

· Support GDIA and other GOS divisional initiatives in the BI/analytics workstream.

· Complete the assigned tasks and help achieve the project outcomes.

· Collaborate directly with your manager, other members of the GDIA team, and the wider GOS organization as necessary.

· Work with the assigned team members and the project/program managers.

Skills:

· Kaizen/continuous improvement mindset – ask questions, identify problems.

o Process mapping

o Root cause analysis – 5-why

· Working with data

o Descriptive analysis of data

o Comfortable with basis statistics

o Excel / Power BI (or such)

· Communication and presentation

o Able to frame problem statements and gain the team’s buy-in

o Keep the team updated with the status of the tasks and projects – either via written reports or presentations

· Project management

· Use what you have learned in college, apply your skills to these problems.

Qualifications:

· BS/MS (finished or pursuing) in one of the following:

o Industrial Engineering

o Management Information Systems

o Mechanical Engineering
