Job Description

Are you ready to dive into the world of data engineering? As a Data Engineering Intern at Wix, you'll play a pivotal role in sculpting our data infrastructure. Here's what you'll get to do:

• Design, implement and maintain data pipelines from different sources into the organizational data warehouse (DWH)

• Create robust, scalable solutions that make it easier to identify and solve data gaps

• Monitor the performance of data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of data infrastructure

• Translate business requirements into practical data models in collaboration with analysts and product managers

• Work alongside a talented team, including data engineers, analysts, and data scientists, to foster data-driven decisions

Qualifications

• Familiarity with SQL queries and data pipeline development

• Coding experience in Python

• Analytical mindset with a passion for data and understanding of business processes

• Self-motivated learner eager to translate business needs into data models

• Professional level English proficiency and excellent communication skills

• Experience with Airflow, Spark, Great Expectations – an advantage

Additional Information

We are Wix’s Data Engineer Guild. We’re responsible for all the data related to performance, stability, and user experience of all the traffic going to Wix sites. We play a central role in providing accurate data to support the performance efforts at Wix by creating and maintaining a modern data infrastructure that anyone at Wix can use, including a data warehouse and tools for reporting, alerting, and A/B testing.  We’re one of the most challenging and satisfying Data groups at Wix, with plenty of growth and learning opportunities.
