Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

Worth AI, a forward-thinking company in the computer software industry, is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join their team as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst. As a Senior Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into strategic insights that inform business decisions. You will analyze various data sources, create compelling visualizations, and generate reports that guide the direction of the company’s AI initiatives and meet the needs of our customers. You will combine skillsets across database querying, dashboard development, and report development and, where appropriate, automate thes processes.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data from various sources ranging from flat files to database tables, both internal and external, to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives
• Obtain a thorough understanding of the company’s current and future key data tables, sources and pipelines 
• Design and implement interactive dashboards and reports using SQL and BI tools to visualize critical metrics for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions, modify existing reporting data  pipelines, and develop new reporting data pipelines
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support specific business needs and provide actionable recommendations based on findings.
• Monitor key performance indicators and assist in the identification of opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and BI technologies to recommend improvements in data analytics, reporting and visualization practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Data Science, or a related technical or analytical discipline
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role, preferably in a technology or analytics-driven environment requiring the development of ad-hoc or automated reporting and data visualizations
• Strong proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker with experience in designing visualizations, reports and dashboards with regular update frequencies
• Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
• Hands-on experience and highly proficient with Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, mathematical functions, and charts
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data and business scenarios.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to strategic planning sessions.
• Detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy.
• Understanding of data governance and best practices in data management.
• Use of SQL in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP), and particularly AWS Athena or RedShift environments
• Knowledge of Python or other programming languages useful for data manipulation and analysis
