[What the role is]
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager / Manager in Financial Reporting and Data Analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing comprehensive management reports, assisting in general ledger monthly closing, and transforming how financial data, analytics and reporting are delivered. This role offers an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and experienced professionals with a strong background in accountancy and data analytics to drive efficiency and to shape the future of financial reporting at HSA.

[What you will be working on]

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including dashboards with data storytelling components.
  • Assist in the general ledger monthly closing and year-end statutory reporting in accordance with SB-FRS.
  • Perform variance analysis and data analytics for HSA and professional groups to provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive business performance.
  • Standardise and streamline reporting templates and processes by utilising data analytics and robotic automation tools applications such as Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, UiPath and Power Automate.
  • Introduce advanced data analytical capabilities, such as predictive models and scenario analysis, and other non-standard data to enhance insight generation.
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy and completeness of any required returns to Department of Statistics, Accountant-General’s Department.
  • Any other work-related ad-hoc duties and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse financial data.

[What we are looking for]

  • Background in Accountancy (or ACCA equivalent), candidates with no work experience is welcomed to apply
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office is essential, with at least intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and automation tools and applications such as Power BI and UiPath.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to work within tight deadlines.
