Join Data Platform to build the future of Amadeus. We're calling it the aPaaS, Application Platform-as-a-Service, and it will encompass all the needed bricks to build a modern cloud-native application – from fast data to big data, from rules engine to machine learning - on top of the features already offered by the PaaS.

In Data Domain, the Fast Data Platform ART aims at delivering first-class technology to serve the needs of the various business domains at Amadeus in terms of real-time digestion of data, its correlation, and event detection. It aims at providing a turn-key event-driven architecture on which the business domains can build and implement cloud-native applications.

Summary of the role:

• You’ll be part of the Amadeus group that is a pioneer in implementing cloud-native applications.
• You’ll build a success story in operating 100+ platforms hosting an average of 150 Microservices with 500+ TPS (transactions per second) in total.

• You will take your technical knowledge to the next level in terms of public cloud DevOps architecture, operations, and tooling.
• You’ll work with either operating products implementing a state-of-the-art event-driven architecture built with love on top of OpenShift, Mongo, and Kafka or the big data platform of the company.

In this role you’ll:

• Manage team members of a DevOps team.
• Be accountable for the full end-to-end DevOps activities: CICD pipeline, security, quality, platforms delivery, operations, and incident management.
• Work with a team composed of talented experienced and junior DevOps.
• Provide guidance on technical designs as well as support in fixing complex incidents.

About the Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electronic/systems/computer science) or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development working with DevOps and/or cloud technologies.
• Experience managing technical teams.
• Experience with containerization/k8s and/or big data.
• Knowledge in CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub).
• Scripting skills in Python preferably.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Desired knowledge/experience with distributed streaming platforms (Kafka or similar) or Databricks/Spark.
