What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive pay rate to commensurate with education. The salary range for this position is $20.92-23.64/hour, based on education. Denver International Airport emerging talent positions are required to attend all sessions of professional development within the cohort model. You will be onboarded with a cohort of peers to begin to help you develop your network across the aviation industry.

With the Business Technologies Customer Service Applications Team, you will experience:

  • Learning and application of the theoretical and technical aspects of data analytics

  • Gathering requirements from business users on their data and reporting needs and wants

  • Creating or updating SQL integrations, SSRS reports, and/or tabular models to improve reporting capabilities for the business users

  • Creating or updating PowerBI reports and dashboards to visually display the data for the business users

  • Supporting researching and working with newer technologies like Azure, Fabric, or Purview

  • Performing internal testing and end user validation of delivered reports and dashboards

  • Practices a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy

  • Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to cultivating strong, trustworthy relationships with employees, stakeholders, and customers

  • Experience with SQL databases and queries

  • Demonstrated interest and capability in advancing innovative mindsets within the organization

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and contribute effectively to collaborative projects and initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement: Current enrollment in an accredited college program leading to a certificate, licensure, associates, bachelor’s, or higher degree in Science, technology, engineering, mathematics or closely related field, or a recent graduate (com-pleted specified program within 1 year of completion).

  • Experience Requirement: None

  • Education/Experience Equivalency: No substitution of experience for education is permitted.

  • License/Certifications: May require a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

Location Flexibility

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model with a required min 3 days in office. Employees work where needed to support business, at the Denver International Airport. We do not offer housing or relocation assistance for this position.

Internship Duration and Hours:

6 months; June 02, 2025 to December 5th, 2025 with a max of 35 hours a week.
