About the Analytics Team:
The Analytics Team handles terabytes of data to help us understand our users and learn about content trends. They are responsible for collecting, processing and organizing large and complex datasets in order to generate actionable insights and help various teams at Viki make data-driven decisions.
The Analytics Team is looking for a Data Quality Analyst. This role is based in Singapore and will report to the Director of Analytics.This role will focus on ensuring the quality and integrity of our data while collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and oversee the execution of various data-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data quality processes, testing and validation, as well as some experience in program management.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Data Quality Management:
Establish and maintain data quality standards, guidelines, and best practices across all data sources.
Monitor data quality performance and work with teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvements.
Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues and collaborate with technical teams to resolve them.
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data needs and business requirements.
Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications and data solutions.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables.
Data Governance:
Support the implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance.
Work with the Analytics team and business owners to define data ownership and accountability across the organization.
Monitor and enforce data governance practices to ensure data consistency, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Testing & Validation:
Design and execute data validation tests to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of datasets.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to verify that the solution meets the business requirements and quality standards.
Work with developers and data engineers to create automated testing processes for data integration and transformations.
Providing training and support to end-users on data systems, processes, and tools
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2+ years of experience in data analysis, data operations, or data quality management.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and validation techniques.
Experience in project or program management, particularly in cross-functional data-driven projects.
Proficiency with SQL and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
Familiarity with data integration processes and tools (ETL processes, APIs, etc.).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
