Job Description:

The Sr. Director role will be responsible for key functions within the CFO organization at Datasite.  

  • Firstly, to drive Data Product Strategy for Finance; a large transformational effort to define, change and implement data centric solutions for improving Finance functions through better data design and management; for driving efficiencies in the Function.
  • Secondly, to own and manage multiple data platforms for change and ensure that Finance and Senior Leadership teams have access to accurate and timely data.
  • Thirdly, this role will serve as an engagement manager, and consultant to business owners and senior leadership around strategic deep dives and advanced analytics involving financial, sales and product KPI’s.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the ongoing development and execution of the Data Warehouse data strategy. Deliver output consistent with roadmap / goals in waves that enable the success of the overall effort. The plan of execution will require close coordination with Finance, Technology, Sales, and Product. Represent Finance in various senior forums and committees.
  • Engage with technology to deliver innovative and adaptive solutions to enhance finance data capability whilst simplifying the finance data architecture; this role will require close partnership with IT delivery teams, architecture, and corporate data management functions.
  • Directly manage a team of Power BI analysts to deliver on data products/projects, problem solving, reporting and communication. Recruit and retain exceptional talent.
  • Partner effectively with other functions – Sales / Product Analytics, Data Science, and Technology teams to develop and deploy solutions, as well as to analyze and problem-solve.
  • Lead proactive and impactful data deep-dives, effectively communicate actionable insights and recommendations, and drive action/change.
  • Drive action, automation, and experimentation to address problems and opportunities unearthed from data. Lead experimental design and measurement for pilots and experiments, partnering with other Analytics partners/teams.
  • Publish practical dashboards to measure the health of Finance data throughout the delivery of projects and BAU activity for senior stakeholder transparency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline such as engineering, mathematics, statistics, business, economics, etc.
  • MBA or Master’s in quantitative disciplines such as analytics, MIS, etc.

Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience using data, analytics, and business intelligence to inform company / product data strategy, enable business decision-making, and drive results in technology environments
  • 7+ years’ experience using advanced analytics and data science approaches, tools, and techniques
  • 5+ years’ experience directly leading teams of data analysts, data scientists, and AI professionals
  • 5+ years’ experience owning end-to-end data and analytics products or programs, including building and leading cross-functional product and delivery teams
  • Experience leading largescale data and technology transformations
  • Experience managing complex spreadsheet-based planning, forecasting and estimation models
  • Demonstrated experience hiring and retaining great talent
  • Strong experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • High degree of familiarity with AI/ML concepts and applications
  • High degree of familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Experience with statistical packages such as R, SAS, Python, SPSS, etc.
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimental design and measurement
  • Expertise using Microsoft PowerPoint for communicating and presenting data insights and stories to an executive audience
  • Experience working directly with and supporting VP+ level business stakeholders
  • Strong product/program/project management skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and processes simultaneously
  • Superior quantitative and analytical skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced deadline-driven environments
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, think critically, and drive results
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to tell compelling data stories, breaking down complex findings and concepts for non-technical audience and the leadership
  • Ability to learn quickly and develop a deep understanding of data and tools, as well as business and performance drivers
  • Self-motivated and able to act independently with minimal direction as well as to motivate others
  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach internal/external associates on tools and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and communicate uncertainty proactively
  • Collaborates and coordinates easily across teams

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position.  Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

$165,720.00 - $289,680.00
