The Opportunity 

As an experienced engineer or scientist, you know that artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision (CV) are critical to understanding and processing massive datasets and informing humans on decision options at machine speed. We need your technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities to identify and develop opportunities for the use of AI and ML to solve real-world business and operational problems that will help our Intelligence Community clients develop solutions that meet the needs of 21st-century. 

In this role, you’ll work with clients to develop and implement AI and ML capabilities that address various mission needs for both the client enterprise and operational use cases. You’ll share your knowledge with a large community of AI and ML practitioners across the firm and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, solutions architects, systems engineers, and product owners to deliver world-class solutions to meaningful real-world problems. Your advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise will guide clients as they navigate the landscape of AI and ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have: 

• 5+ years of experience in data science, AI and ML techniques and methodologies

• Experience working with major programming languages, including Python, Java, or C++ 

• Experience training and developing AI and ML models using common frameworks, including CUDA, PyTorch, or TensorFlow

• Experience researching and developing competency in branches of data science, statistical methodologies, AI, and ML

• Ability to distill complex technical concepts into easily understood summaries consumable by business leaders with a non-technical background

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and Docker

• Experience with cyber data or cyber exploitation methods 

• Experience with ML explainability methods and metrics 

• Experience with MLOps/ML model life cycle processes and tools

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering preferred; Doctorate degree a plus 

Clearance:   

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
