The Opportunity
“We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of our scalable, cloud-based platform. This role will focus on building robust, distributed systems and leveraging the Kubernetes ecosystem to ensure high availability, resilience, and performance. As a key technical leader, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive architectural decisions, improve system reliability, and mentor engineering teams on best practices."- Sr Director, Software Engineering.
What You’ll Contribute
- Architect and Design: Lead the architectural vision and technical strategy for our cloud-based, distributed systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Cloud Platform Leadership: Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP, optimizing for cost, performance, and reliability.
- Kubernetes Ecosystem: Drive the adoption and optimization of Kubernetes and container orchestration solutions to support microservices-based applications.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Helm, or Pulumi.
- Declarative Tools: Experience with tools such as ArgoCD and Crossplane is a plus.
- System Reliability: Implement best practices for high availability, observability, and fault tolerance, ensuring seamless operations.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor engineers, establish coding standards, and promote best practices for software development and deployment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to align platform strategies with business objectives.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve system performance, reducing latency and enhancing throughput.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure platform security, implement access controls, and align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
What We’re Seeking
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or platform architecture roles.
- Strong background in designing and managing distributed systems at scale.
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration tools.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native services.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Helm, or Pulumi.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and observability in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams.
- Design, develop, deploy and support modules of large world-class enterprise-level product.
- Participate in architectural design of product.
- Develop high level development timelines based on project scope and understanding of the existing application code.
- Evaluate new design specifications and raise quality standards, address architectural concerns.
- Evaluate stability, compatibility, scalability, interoperability, and performance of the software product.
- Maintain and upgrade product source codes.
- Demonstrate technical expertise through publication, presentations, white papers and event participation.
- Continually learn new technologies in related areas.
- Serve as a source of technical expertise and mentor junior team members
