Senior Specialist - Technical steward( Data Modeling & Data catalog -Erwin or ER/Studio )

Job Description Summary

Location: Hydearbad

This role focuses on supporting the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of enterprise data models across various data systems by enforcing Novartis’ data modelling standards. The technical steward collaborates with various Novartis teams to drive data-driven decision-making and also promotes a culture of metadata governance. The role involves collaboration with business and IT stakeholders to define best practices, standards and policies for data modelling, metadata management and metadata quality.

 

Job Description

Major Accountabilities:

• Review requirement specification for data modelling task

• Review data profiling and data analysis outcome of data modeler

• Support business metadata creation and Support creation of technical metadata and data lineage

• Create/Maintain enterprise data model and Create/Maintain/Govern logical data dictionary

• Govern system data model for enterprise solution

• Govern source to target mapping for data analytics solution

• Govern quality of metadata in enterprise solution and Support business and IT to build data landscape and data flow

• Support business and IT with data asset classification and Collaborate with project team to drive and evolve the core governance team to have optimized governance model

• Suggest optimization measures to have cost effective delivery

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or information technology discipline with minimum 8 years of experience

• An advanced degree and related accreditations is a plus

• Hands-On experience with erwin or ER/Studio is must. Hands-On experience with Databricks and Collibra is good to have

• Experience working in pharma industry is good to have. Experience working in DAMA and DCAM methodology is good to have

• Experience with AGILE and DevOps methodology is good to have

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, accountability, written and verbal communication skills, and time management aligned with Novartis Values & Behaviors

• Be a self-starter and a fast learner. Capable to think strategically and have good problem-solving skills

• A proven track record working in high performing information technology global teams that are culturally diverse in matrix organizations
