We are seeking a Manager, Data and Analytics to provide subject matter expertise and leadership in business intelligence. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Application Development, you will collaborate with key stakeholders, gather requirements, and deliver reports, dashboards, and datasets that drive critical business decisions. This role involves developing service offerings, managing complex projects, and fostering relationships across cross-functional teams.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement strategies for increasing the effectiveness and quality of risk reporting to senior management and executives.
  • Lead and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Lead the analysis of large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights.
  • Provide thought leadership on advanced analytics, business intelligence, and data lifecycle management.
  • Work with business partners to drive data-driven decision-making and process improvements.
  • Lead new data-sharing and collaboration initiatives to optimize operations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company standards.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum, 6 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or related roles.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and languages such as R, Python, or similar.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Technologies – SQL Server core database engine (T-SQL code development); SQL Server Integration Services; SQL Server Analysis Services; SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Lakes, and Azure Synapse.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to work within high performance teams as well as independently.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to liaise with other departments and recommend control and process improvements.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • Superior analytics and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Thrives in a rapidly changing environment & high attention to detail.
  • 3+ years of retail industry experience preferred.
