Reporting directly to the VP of our Content and Creator Monetization group (which includes Adobe Stock, Adobe Content, and Bēhance), this is a highly strategic and critical role with the primary goal of building a center of excellence (team and tooling) to drive data-driven strategic discussions and initiatives. This center of excellence must capture, inspect, and analyze usage and behavioral patterns within our products (such as traffic to conversion analysis, initial experience to full usage retention analysis, etc.) to help drive net new growth, increased usage, and long-term retention. 

 

Expectations of this role (and the team reporting into this role) include, but are not limited to, identifying and interpreting trends and patterns in datasets to constructs forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge, Additionally, this is a role that may work across Adobe as the center of excellence matures in order to connect and identify broader user trends and opportunities for efficiency and impact.  

 

The Opportunity  

Adobe Stock is one of the fastest-growing business units at Adobe, the Adobe Content team drives the Stock and Express content needs, and serves as the foundation of Adobe's Firefly Generative AI model, and Behance is the largest creative community of over 50 million members where over the last year we have strategically shifted the platform to help drive creator livelihoods (in addition to showcasing their work and being discovered). 

 

We’re looking for a proven data expert to lead our Data & Insights team comprised of data analysts, scientists, and engineers. This team will own data and insights across all aspects: 

The Stock business—from Product to Business functions, B2B to B2C segments, and data analytics to data architecture, etc. 

Content – from classifying the existing to collection, to understand search intent/engagement patterns, to identifying gaps, etc.  

Behance – from capturing and taxonomizing skills and knowledge to identifying creator opportunities, etc.  

 

What you’ll do  

  • Hire, lead, manage, and inspire a team of Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Data Engineers toward business objectives and goals 

  • Define the data science, business analytics, product analytics, and marketing analytics vision, set the technical roadmap, and align it with broader business goals 

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the success of strategic initiatives, ensuring that all data-driven efforts lead to measurable improvements in client outcomes 

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and infrastructure 

  • Work closely with product and marketing teams to advise, define, and prioritize roadmaps and features 

  • Work with finance to build financial models and forecasting tools that support decision-making and business growth, focusing on risk management, budgeting, and long-term financial planning 

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that data-driven insights directly inform strategic priorities 

  • Provide insights based on behavioral and commercial data to support marketing strategies, content optimization, and user engagement initiatives. Areas of interest include Churn Analysis, Lifetime Value, Segmentation, and Attribution Modelling 

 

What you need to succeed  

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (MS is a plus) 

  • 15+ years of hands-on experience in BI / analytics and data architecture  

  • 5+ years of experience leading business intelligence, analytics, and data engineering teams—including managing managers on large teams  

  • Expertise in scripting languages (SQL and Python), visualization tools (Tableau or similar, e.g., Power BI or Looker), and Web Analytics (e.g., Adobe Analytics) 

  • Hands-on experience with distributed data stores such as Data Bricks, S3, Presto, Hive, Spark  

  • Expertise in data modeling, database / schema design, ETL, and data management principles / solutions (Natural Language Processing & related AI/ML concepts a plus) 

  • Practical experience with product analytics and marketing / web analytics (search analytics is a plus)  

  • Excellent people management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams  

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders 

  

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $165,300 -- $327,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
