The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The Sr Manager, Data Governance and Enablement holds a prominent position within Solventum's MedSurg Commercial organization, serving as a highly visible executive leader and a critical strategic partner to the Commercial go-to-market organization. This role is pivotal in enabling effective data harnessing and advanced analytics capabilities to support development of market and business strategies, the securement of strategic and operational advantages, and the acceleration of short- and long-term results. In addition, this role will play a thought and program leadership role in the evolution of Solventum's AI and ML capabilities.


Reporting directly to the Director, Commercial Operations, this leader will have direct oversight over key areas, including data governance, implementing and maintaining a leading master data management capability, leading third-party data strategy, commercial tech stack ownership, technology-enabled continuous improvement, and being a thought leader and innovator in directing product ownership within the AGILE framework.  This is a newly established role, offering the ideal candidate the exceptional opportunity to infuse industry best practice and thought leadership into building this critical capability for Solventum. Responsibilities: ​

  • Driving the business end of Master Data Management through data selection and business rule development
  • Driving data and metric governance across the business and IT teams
  • Partnering with analytic and operational teams to understand data needs
  • Leading agile product owners in translating data needs into IT actionable backlogs, and working with commercial leadership to create and enhance agile product ownership and overall management of business (data and IT) priorities
  • Creating and managing a 3rd party data strategy - need identification through implementation
  • Providing the business requirements and participating in RFPs for technology selection
  • Driving data quality project to reduce production issues and increase the timeliness and reliability of data
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects as the subject matter expert on available data assets, data governance, and data management processes 
  • Collaborating with various departments to drive consistency in processes, data collection, and data use
  • Managing a team of product owners and data analysts

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree AND 12 years in data management/governance, with 6+ years in leadership roles, preferably in healthcare.

OR

High School Diploma/GED AND 16 years in data management/governance, with 6+ years in leadership roles, preferably in healthcare.

· Strong knowledge of data management systems (e.g., Salesforce), data modeling, SQL, and big data tools.

· Experience leading teams within the Agile framework, managing product owners, and handling multiple projects.

· Experience in leading Master Data Management programs and ensuring data quality and consistency across teams.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • A Master’s Degree in Business Administration
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end data lifecycles across traditional data warehouses, relational databases, business intelligence reporting, big data analytics, and understanding of data platforms, including Snowflake.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to drive analysis of large and complex data sets to identify relevant patterns and drive data improvements
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams of analytics professionals
  • Exceptional intellectual bandwidth, and proven ability to understand and prioritize a broad range of analytics and insights requests from across the Commercial organization
  • Experience with Big Data and/or Cloud eco-systems, in designing, solutioning, and/or operating application platforms, preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with executives and other internal stakeholders, catering to various levels of analytical proficiency
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under tight deadlines, including experience with Program Increment Planning and supporting software, such as Jira
  • Proficiency with SQL, and emerging technologies that support advanced capabilities of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $207,348 - $253,425, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
