Senior Product Analyst

Are you passionate about using data to improve healthcare delivery and drive better clinical outcomes?

Would you like to use your analytical expertise to improve clinical outcomes, enhance product experiences, and make a meaningful impact in healthcare?

About the Role

As a Senior Product Analyst, you will play a critical role in transforming how healthcare delivery organizations and healthcare professionals engage with our products. You’ll leverage your expertise in data transformation and analysis to provide actionable insights that improve our products and help clinicians make better decisions.

Through dashboards, reports, and deep-dive analyses, you will empower internal teams and external customers with the insights they need to optimize workflows, enhance user experiences, and deliver measurable improvements in clinical outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact the healthcare industry by improving decision-making and outcomes for patients and clinicians alike. We’re looking for someone with a passion for data, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to leveraging analytics to drive meaningful change in healthcare.

About the Team

Elsevier Health applies innovation, facilitates insights, and helps drive more informed decision-making for our customers across global health. We support health providers by providing accessible, trusted evidence-based information; prepare more medical and nursing students with effective tools and resources; provide insights that help clinicians improve patient outcomes; and supports a more personalized and localized healthcare experience. All for the benefit of every patient.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust processes for normalizing, transforming, and managing complex datasets, ensuring data quality and consistency across internal and external reporting systems.

  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to design data pipelines that support scalable analytics and reporting.

  • Partner with product and clinical teams to translate raw data into meaningful, actionable insights that align with clinical and business needs.

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of user engagement, feature adoption, and product performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Partner with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand user behavior and inform product strategies.

  • Evaluate the impact of our solutions on clinical workflows and outcomes, providing insights to drive product enhancements and customer success.

  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and other data visualization tools to deliver insights to internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., healthcare delivery organizations).

  • Ensure dashboards and reports are intuitive, actionable, and tailored to the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Act as a trusted analytics partner to colleagues and stakeholders, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.

  • Communicate complex data findings in clear, accessible ways to diverse audiences.

  • Work closely with Commercial and Sales teams to develop insights that support customer adoption, retention, and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Possess a degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Have 5–8+ years of experience in product analytics, data analysis, or a related field, preferably in healthcare, health tech, or clinical decision support.

  • Demonstrate expertise in SQL and data transformation tools; proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages is a plus.

  • Have strong experience with Tableau for data visualization and dashboard creation. Proficiency with other data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI) is a plus.

  • Demonstrate proven ability to normalize and manage large, complex datasets and work with engineering teams on data architecture and pipelines.

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience conducting exploratory analyses, A/B testing, and statistical modeling.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
