Duties: Partner with stakeholders as a strategic business collaborator by owning business intelligence analyses end-to-end, providing insights and recommendations to drive action, and democratize results via internal intelligence platforms for long term use. Manage a portfolio of highly consumable competitive intelligence assets (e.g., dashboards, papers, competitor profiles, datasets) that can be used strategically across stakeholder groups and find opportunities to enhance that portfolio based on stakeholder needs and feedback. Maintain a deep understanding and curiosity of business drivers and an innate grasp of business metric definitions in Audiobook / Spoken Media industry and competitors, and proactively build relationships with business partners to give context, provide recommendations, and identify needs. Evaluate strategic options and develop recommendations for lines of business, data capture, or enterprise-wide projects, typically in partnership with strategy colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders. Leverage technical skills and insight to research and mine internal (Audible, Amazon) and external (market research, marketing agencies) data sources to identify and understand opportunities, develop a point of view, and provide guidance for strategic business decisions. Own external vendor and internal engineering relationships to ensure data quality, adjust to industry trends, align with business priorities, and drive data assets forward. Position reports into Newark, NJ office; however, telecommuting from a home office may be allowed.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Applied Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience as an analytics manager, or a related occupation involving experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science, or project management.

Experience may be gained concurrently and must include:

Two (2) years in each of the following:
- Using SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or AWS to extract and merge data from varied sources
- Technical project management in the areas of analytics, data science, or data engineering.

One (1) year in each of the following:
- Using JIRA for workstream management
- Using Alation for data cataloguing or documentation.

Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience.
