Job Title: Data Scientist I

Compensation: $85,000 to $105,000

Adswerve is seeking a Data Scientist I to join its Technical Services team, combining analytical expertise with client-facing communication skills to tackle complex data challenges for top global brands. This role emphasizes big data analysis, machine learning, and data engineering, with a focus on building pipelines, working with marketing data sets, and applying insights through segmentation, attribution, and propensity modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to implement strategic engineering proof of concepts and contribute to technology strategy and engineering roadmaps
  • Collaborate with clients and internal partners throughout the organization to identify and execute upon opportunities for demonstrating marketing data to drive business solutions
  • Audit existing datasets for accuracy, reliability and consistency
  • Ingest Google Analytics (GA), Google Tag Manager (GTM) and other Marketing platform implementation and identify areas of opportunity within Client data to recommend strategic solutions
  • Develop and test applications (visualization, routing data, cleaning data, access to data, interacting with data) for analytics or marketing pipelines
  • Develop various Big Data capabilities in the cloud for our Clients, aligning them with business strategies and requirements
  • Work with Adswerve and Google teams to architect solutions for massive scale, resiliency and maintainability, leveraging various cloud providers which meet technical, security, and business needs for applications and workloads
  • Work with Adswerve and Google teams to develop and lead best-in-class engineering practices to help Clients define and set up frameworks for utilizing Big Data in the cloud
  • Develop monitoring strategies for infrastructure, platforms and applications aligning with enterprise strategy and overall industry trends
  • Translate solutions and complicated concepts to all audiences, from executive level members to marketing teams
  • Consultative communication with various client and internal stakeholders including but not limited to regular status updates, presentation of solutions and training on technical concepts
  • Stay up to date on data science and data engineering technologies

Experience

  • College degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Science  - OR - equivalent experience in Data Engineering, or Data Science.
  • At least 3-4 years experience with SQL and Python required, familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google BigQuery and/or Google Analytics a plus
  • Machine Learning Framework experience
  • Familiarity with other cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, Snowflake, etc. as they relate to big data
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and web development for the purpose of data collection and marketing analytics implementation
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems with on-time delivery, the highest quality, and creativity in the approach
  • Experience working directly with clients, such as in technical support, is highly valued
  • Ability to listen and understand business needs and creatively develop solutions
  • Ability to work on a team and manage and prioritize individual workloads
  • Strong desire to become a proficient Data Scientist for a fast paced company

This position pays a base salary of  $85,000 to $105,000 per year. Wage differential is based on training and experience.
