Your Role & Mission - Are you passionate about driving sustainability and helping businesses reduce their carbon footprint? 
We are seeking a highly motivated AI Engineer to join our Solution Engineering team and contribute to our cutting-edge B2B enterprise carbon management platform. 
In this role, you will work closely with data engineers, environmental engineers, and project managers, leverage your AI engineering expertise, and craft innovative solutions to address our clients’ carbon management needs.

Your tasks

• Choose and train LLMs to automate and scale up services related to carbon emissions and sustainability based on clients’ purchasing data

• Manage training data and derive it from internal databases as well as data synthesizing (text data)

• Independently own the implementation of services and work with the DevOps team to plan and integrate services to process data on scale

• Connect the domain knowledge of your team members with your AI Engineering skills to create services

• Work with APIs and integrate third-party tools that can transform, categorise, and classify text data

• Design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions using our carbon management platform to meet client needs

• Share your knowledge and collaborate cross-functionally with the Product & Engineering teams, to drive platform enhancements and improvements based on client feedback

Your profile

• University degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field

• Several years of experience working as an AI Engineer or a similar role in a tech startup and fast-paced environment

• Proven expertise in working with tools for transformation, categorisation, and classification of text data is a must

• Strong proficiency in service implementation, data manipulation, processing, and analysis

• Experience working with large-scale data analytics platforms and tools

• Experience working with APIs and integrating external data sources

• Solid programming skills in Python and familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and independently

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills combined with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Passionate about business sustainability, carbon emissions management, and decarbonisation strategy development in alignment with Carbmee’s mission and vision

• A supportive team player with a strong work ethic, excited to join our diverse and international team either remotely (within Germany) or in our offices in Berlin or Munich
