About the Opportunity:

The role of the Master Data Manager is to ensure the integrity of master data within ERP/CRM application systems. This individual will ensure that they adhere to the global processes defined for creation, changes to, maintaining, and retiring master data, including data ownership, data management processes, data standards, and optimization for efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding and background in ERP (Syteline), CRM (SAP) data management and process improvement. 

 

This position is based out of the Concord, MA office and will require an onsite schedule. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose areas for improvement and identify recommendations for improved data accuracy and integrity through continuous collaboration with stakeholders
  • Enforce Oxford Instrument's data policies and business processes
  • Perform continuous improvement of master data creation and maintenance, while ensuring that the practices align with the global operating model and standard operating procedures.
  • Tracks the quality, maintenance, and retirement of centralized master data objects aligned to the model, setting clear operational targets to the local MDM teams for adherence.
  • Enable workflows to enforce approval and validation of new and changed master data
  • Drive standardization and adoption of Master Data Management governance and MDM processes.
  • Create and maintain training and documentation. Provide training of stakeholders to ensure technology standards, patterns, and practices are understood and implemented by all teams and partners
  • Monitor the standards, procedures, and guidelines concerning data access.
  • Collaborate with global partners as required to define and deploy mapping and integrations between regions, business units and systems
  • Develop and monitor quality standards for master data and its attributes, such as metrics and KPIs
  • Develop and publish monthly data quality reports to include recommendations for improvement

 

About the Candidate:

The ideal candidate should possess a strategic and analytical mindset, with a strong understanding of ERP and CRM systems. They should have solid business acumen, particularly in operational and process-focused areas, and be capable of developing, implementing, and assessing process improvement initiatives. Proficiency in MS Office is required. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, be driven to achieve results, highly organized with attention to detail, and effective in communicating and collaborating across teams. Comfort with presenting to and engaging senior leaders is also essential.

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Database Management, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of work experience in Master Data Management
  • Proven track record of aligning business needs and change management with stakeholders.
  • Uses experiences to anticipate and manage events and has the resilience to remain on track. 
  • Constructively challenges the way things are done and takes actions that improve outcomes.

  • Is aware of and able to successfully interact with the relevant geographical and/or business culture.  

  • Contributes to a positive team culture.

  • Is personally accountable within own role.

  • Understands priorities and plans own actions to deliver results that meet objectives.  Regularly reviews and adapts actions accordingly.
