The Position

Work at the forefront of pharmaceutical data architecture! Join our team as a Data Architect in our dynamic IT EDP Data Analytics team where you will be responsible for designing, creating, and managing our company’s data architecture. You will play a key role in developing data strategies, implementing data solutions, and ensuring the overall integrity and security of our data assets for Digital Products delivered to Business. Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your new role you will design and implement efficient and scalable data architecture and you will develop data models and database designs.
  • Moreover, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and Business Stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
  • You will work closely with Data Domain owners to establish Data Governance and Data Sharing Terms policies.
  • In addition, you will optimize database performance and ensure data quality.
  • You will stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data management.
  • Furthermore, you will provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
   

Requirements

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics with longstanding experience in the area of business intelligence and data management and experience as a Data Architect 
  • Several years of experience with cloud solutions and first experience in a large scale modernization / transition project to Cloud like AWS or Azure
  • Profound knowledge of AWS components, Apache Parquet, S3, AWS Glue and Snowflake paired with knowledge of the pharma industry, e.g. Medicine or Research and/or GxP processes knowledge, AWS solution architect certification and understanding of / skills in Innovator is a plus
  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and other relevant technologies as well as experience with agile based delivery model
  • Analytical thinking, self-organization and collaboration skills, understanding of complex architectures, and a passion for rapids technical advancements
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills 
  • Willingness and readiness to travel
