Data Analyst

Riverside based - Preferred Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is crucial for supporting our operations by providing insightful analysis that aids in strategic decision-making across our food service and restaurant businesses.

You will be collaborating with members of the finance and executive team to provide reporting and analyses across our multiple brands which include:

• Market Broiler Restaurants 
• Bluewater Grill Restaurants
• Provider Contract Food Service

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Collection and Aggregation: Gather data from various sources including sales, inventory, and financial systems to compile comprehensive reports.

- Budget Template Development: Design and maintain budget templates that reflect current business models and future projections.

- Food Cost Analysis: Analyze food costs across different restaurant concepts to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.

- Payroll Analysis: Review payroll data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, providing insights into labor cost management.

- Contract Analysis: Examine contracts with clients to optimize terms, pricing, and fulfillment, ensuring alignment with company goals.

- Reporting: Create regular reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to management for operational and strategic decisions.

- Ad-Hoc Projects: Handle special analytical tasks as they arise, providing support across departments when data-driven insights are needed.

Required Skills:

- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SQL, or BI tools like Tableau, Power BI).

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Experience in the food service or restaurant industry, particularly in cost analysis, is highly desirable.

- Excellent communication skills to explain complex data in a clear, understandable manner.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

- At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the food service or hospitality sector.

Location: Remote 

Hours: Part-time, flexible hours

Compensation: $38 - $40 per houe
