Your opportunity:

The Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy’s Education Office was created in July 2017 and has four major functions:

 

  • Quality assurance and program evaluation for all academic programs
  • Provide strategic support and direction to all academic programs in the areas of curriculum mapping, course support and integration of teaching technology
  • Streamline processes and ensure efficiencies across all programs
  • Manages cyclical external reviews of all academic programs


Since being established, the Office has been responsible for managing numerous major projects. These include coordinating the University of Toronto Quality Assurance Process (UTQAP) self-study and site visit, providing a program update to the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP), developing a new curriculum map for the PharmD and PharmD for Pharmacists programs and assisting faculty with the transition of all courses from Portal to the new Quercus system.

In this new role, reporting to the Director, Academic Administrative Services, the Data and Records Analyst will be involved in supporting program evaluation and assessments for the PharmD program by analyzing complex data, conducting detailed data analysis, and producing complex statistical information. You will be critical in developing components of data analysis and auditing programs to aid in data interpretation, quality assurance and overall decision making. You will utilize your strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills to advance important milestones and initiatives across the Education Office.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Analyzing complex data that requires great precision and attention to many details
  • Analyzing data collected for publications and/or presentations use
  • Preparing draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected
  • Designing surveys, interviews and other research tools for program evaluation
  • Liaising with various stakeholders to foster collaboration
  • Reviewing and assessing student learning outcomes
  • Evaluating learning outcomes for program development
  • Planning and overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for assigned projects

 

Essential Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience in program assessment in higher education
  • Training and experience with program evaluation, the alignment of curriculum/instructional design with assessment methods
  • Experience in conducting, analyzing, and reporting on quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research required
  • Strong understanding of psychometrics and measurement
  • Experience with survey and focus group design/administration
  • Strong numeric, research, and analytical skills with an ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends in the data, develop new metrics and make recommendations based on data-driven insights
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (oral and written), with an ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerBi or Tableau, MS Office (including the use of SAS, SPSS, Pivot Tables)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative, having the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present reports for senior management and senior institutional leaders, complete systematic literature searches and summaries


Assets (Nonessential):

 

  • Master’s Degree in Health Sciences Education is preferred.

  • This is a term position for two (2) years. 
  • Hours of work: Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime on weekdays.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 13 -- $84,813. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $108,463. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
