Job Title: Data Management Lead

Contract Type: Permanent

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We have a new opportunity for a Data Management professional to join the RLAM Data Management team. This new role is required to establish data management services for RLMIS assets alongside the existing RLAM assets and manage the impact of change.

 

This is an exciting time to join RLAM’s Data function as we support the business to become more data lead in decision making.

 

About the role

 

  • Overall responsibility for RLMIS assets and services within the wider Data Management team. 
  • Deliver best in class Data Management and Operational services, acting as 1st line data support function for business users and escalation point within the team. Meeting SLAs and no risk events.
  • Deliver service improvements, evidenced by metrics
  • Own relevant risks and controls – including risk events
  • Build effective relationships with RLMIS and understand their requirements for data.
  • Work with Projects within RLAM or RLMIS to represent Data management.  Deliver data management services into projects, manage impacts and influence project design and architectures.
  • Establish a network of stakeholders across RLAM and RLMIS and build effective relationships and strong communications.
  • Ensure data issues are managed, logged and resolved.  Be the senior escalation point for RLMIS data questions, issues, incidents and queries.

 

About you

 

  • Previous experience in managing data within an asset manager - including knowledge of core data domains - Security, portfolio, transaction, benchmark, reference data, performance, client.
  • Ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders on both BAU data management activity and project work.
  • Knowledge of the trade lifecycle and investment instruments including – equities, fixed income, collective investment schemes, ETD and OTC derivatives
  • Experience of driving forward Data management practises and principles.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple data types used in asset management, including Instruments, complex instruments, Trade, Client, ABOR & IBOR, etc, in its various formats, large and small data sets
  • Experience in working in change delivery projects or squads.  Working to agreed project plans and milestones and reporting progress effectively.
  • Experience in Blackrock Aladdin is preferred.
  • Experience in Data related tools, including advanced excel, SQL, Aladdin toolsets, Power BI, Power Automate
  • Self-starter with a curious mindset who is ambitious and aspires to make a significant difference.
