Job Title: Senior Data Management Lead

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: London

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Data Management professional to join the RLAM Data Management team and lead on Data Management operations.

 

As part of the Data Management leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping and growing the team accordingly to meet business need. You will lead on the introduction of new and more complex assets into the team, evolve and improve processes and ultimately act as the senior escalation point for Data Operational questions and queries.

 

This is an exciting time to join RLAM’s Data function as we support the business to become more data lead in decision making.

 

About the role

 

  • Overall responsibility for Data Operations function and services. 
  • Responsible for engaging with business stakeholders, to understand business operating models and how data supports and enhances our business team’s capabilities
  • Strong leader required to motivate, engage and help develop team members
  • Deliver service improvements, evidenced by metrics
  • Own relevant risks and controls – including risk events
  • Strengthen our service offering to the business, evolve Issue management processes, review start of day communications and focus on data quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Data Advice team to deliver data operations services into projects.
  • Proactively engages stakeholders across RLAM to understand and resolve data relate in relation to issues and escalations.
  • Chair the Portfolio Working Group and understand and manage the risks associated with Portfolios and Groups within Aladdin.
  • The Senior Data Management Lead needs to create and advocate a culture of innovation across the Data Management function –to deliver operational efficiencies

 

About you

 

  • Proven experience in data management, data operations within the financial services industry, ideally Asset Management.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a data management/operations team and implementing strategic change.
  • A confident communicator with ability to manage stakeholder expectations and triage data issues through to resolution.
  • Comfort and familiarity with all types of data, in its various formats, large and small data sets, structured and unstructured.
  • Strong knowledge of core data domains - Security, portfolio, transaction, benchmark, reference data, performance, client.
  • Experience of working across all asset classes and the trade lifecycle including – equities, fixed income, collective investment schemes, ETD and OTC derivatives
  • Previous exposure to Aladdin, Markit EDM, Bloomberg, Refinitiv and FactSet data sets.
