Senior Finance Manager, Data Strategy
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

About the Role:
The Finance team is looking for a Senior Manager for the global finance innovation initiative, Finance Forward, to play a key leadership role in setting the strategy and success of driving sustainable improvements across our financial processes and capabilities to scale for future growth. This person will lead a workstream focused on data strategy and advancing application of modern technology approaches for business decision support. The individual will collaborate with stakeholders across the business (Corporate FP&A, IT, FinOps, divisions, regions, functions, global supply chain, tax, etc.) to define how finance accesses and analyzes data, and how the operating model evolves to support preferred tools & capabilities. This role will consider connections with other Finance technology changes (SAP S4, EPM, PPM, UDP, etc.).
This is a hybrid position with the flexibility to be located at multiple BSC locations. You will have the opportunity to discuss your preferred working location with your Talent Acquisition Specialist.
The Senior Manager will report to Program Director within the transformation office team. This position has a high degree of collaboration amongst the Finance Forward team, as well as interaction with corporate, divisional, and regional finance groups across the organization.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Overall responsibility for initiative workstream progress and delivery – key objectives include:
- Document current and future state technology roadmap, including map of interdependencies
- Define use cases and appropriate tools used for data access, reporting and analytics within the global function
- Refine and integrate organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, processes and policies related to the Master Data Governance Operating Model
- Define broader Data Governance priorities related to data definition, architecture, storage, quality, monitoring and reporting to alleviate current state pain points and activate benefits
- Work with IT partners to align on enterprise data strategy evolution
- Coordinate team of stakeholders to align on strategy for predictive forecast capability
- Consult with change champions on personal productivity pilots and approach to sharing use cases, benefits & knowledge broadly within finance
- Define and delegate activities to initiative support resources
- Collaborate with project manager to maintain weekly status report and project sprint plans
- Present on initiative progress, risks, issues, etc.
- Escalate risks and issues to project manager and SteerCo (as needed)
- Partner with Talent / Learning & Development leads on emerging skillset needs or training requirements
- Coordinate with Change Management and Communications resources to create strategies for adoption and monitoring
- Serve as change agent to promote Finance Forward by motivating teams in the development and adoption of global best practices
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years in financial analysis, planning and business support
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field
- Demonstrated end-to-end process thinking with the ability to drive global process harmonization and manage interdependencies
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive process improvements and support change management principles
- Must be able to work well in a complex, highly matrixed worldwide organization and be able to simplify that matrix for reporting and analytical purposes
- Comfort with ambiguity; skilled at problem-solving to meet internal customers’ needs; proven ability to work through roadblocks; demonstrated critical thinking skills; analytical and process-driven
- Self-starter and quick learner, willing to delve deeply into project details
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to develop and maintain relationships on all levels within a global organization; ability to communicate how and why decisions were made to various stakeholder groups
- Strong skills in Excel, Hyperion, SAP, Copilot, EnterpriseGPT, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI and/or other tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- A desire and commitment to meaningfully contribute to organizational culture
- Proven results applying lean process improvement in enterprise-wide and transactional environments
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics or similar
- Prior experience in a medium to large medical device company preferred

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
