Senior Product Manager (must be UK based)

PolyAI automates customer service through lifelike voice assistants that let customers lead a conversation. We’re looking for a high-energy, technically sharp Senior Product Manager to drive the next evolution of our AI capabilities—LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and Agentic AI. You’ll own mission-critical parts of our technical roadmap, expanding the range of models integrated into our platform, developing robust AI evaluation frameworks, and establishing a systematic approach to optimizing RAG performance.

If you’re obsessed with pushing AI models to their limits, fine-tuning how they retrieve, reason, and generate, and turning cutting-edge research into real-world, scalable products, this role is for you. You’ll work side-by-side with engineers, ML researchers, and our professional services teams to extend and refine AI models that power industry-leading conversational AI.

We need someone who’s scrappy, deeply technical, and thrives on solving complex problems—a builder who loves experimenting, iterating, and shaping the future of AI in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of product management or technical leadership in Machine Learning or NLP.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with data analysis, model evaluation, or AI/ML system optimization.
• Experience defining AI performance benchmarks and success metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related AI/ML field.

Preferred Qualifications

• You’ve built AI-powered agents, chatbots, or automation tools—whether at work or for fun—using platforms like OpenAI GPT, LangChain, You.com, or RAG pipelines.
• You get excited about pushing AI models beyond their limits—experimenting with prompt engineering, chaining LLM calls, or optimizing retrieval.
• Experience balancing technical problem-solving with real customer needs—turning AI into a seamless, delightful experience.
• Prior experience in a startup or high-growth AI/ML company (or the willingness to thrive in a fast-moving, innovative environment).
