Compensation
The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $110,500.00 to $184,100.00.

Position Details
Core to Grainger’s value is our ability to get our customers what they need, when they need it, delivering 30M+ shipments to our 4.5M customers from an extensive network of 250+ distribution centers and branches. The Operations Support team drives the success of this fulfillment network by providing clear visibility into operational health, identifying, and driving performance improvements to ensure Grainger delivers the best service to our customers at the lowest cost.
As Advanced Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for developing advanced analytical capabilities that will drive cost savings and improving service delivery. You will design, build, and deploy models for forecasting and production-grade optimization processes. You will uncover relationships and key driver in our business and deliver machine learning and advanced tooling that will have quantifiable improvement to business performance. You will play a critical role in driving the adoption and integration of advanced analytics capabilities across Distribution Centers (DCs) and Branch Networks. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership to ensure the successful integration of data-driven approaches into the organization’s operations.
This role will begin as an Individual Contributor with potential future people management as the function scales.
You Will
• Design, build, and deploy predictive models and optimization algorithms for operational and strategic decision-making.
• Conduct advanced analyses to identify key drivers, relationships, and trends in business performance, providing data-driven recommendations and optimized solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business leaders and data engineering teams, to integrate advanced analytics tools and solutions into Distribution Centers (DCs) and Branch Networks.
• Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for advanced analytics, ensuring alignment with business priorities and long-term goals.
• Drive the adoption of data science practices across the organization by showcasing measurable business impact and delivering user-friendly tools.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and optimization to ensure the team leverages state-of-the-art techniques and tools.
You Have
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, or related field.
• 5+ years work experience
• Proven experience in advanced analytics, data science, or a related field, with a track record of delivering measurable business impact through data-driven solutions.
• Strong expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, as well as experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Streamlit).
• Experience in large data environments, with proven track record of developing and managing suite of metrics and reporting.
• Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.
• Occasional travel may be required to DC and branch field locations.
