SAP Data Analyst

We are searching for a SAP Data Analyst on behalf of our client. This is a 6-month contract assignment. (W-2)  The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data extraction from both S4HANA and legacy SAP systems (ECC), good understanding of SAP Exchange Infrastructure (XI) proficiency in running BusinessObjects (BOBJ) reports, and the ability to transform and load data into a PostgreSQL database. Additionally, a deep understanding of R scripts and the capability to convert them to Python will be crucial for this role.

This is a 6-month contract assignment. (W-2) 

Key Responsibilities:

• Extract and validate data from S4HANA and SAP ECC system to meet business requirements.
• Develop, run, and manage BusinessObjects (BOBJ) reports to ensure accurate data reporting.
• Transform extracted data and load it efficiently into a PostgreSQL database, ensuring data integrity and optimization.
• Interpret and understand R scripts, with the ability to convert them to Python as required for various data analysis and processing tasks.
• Perform data analysis to support business operations, decision making, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and data engineering, to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
• Conduct regular data quality assessments and implement necessary measures to maintain and improve data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Develop, document, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Provide support and training to end-users and stakeholders on data extraction, reporting tools, and analytical methodologies.
• Stay updated with advancements in SAP software, data analytics technologies, and industry best practices to continuously enhance data analysis capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP data analysis, with a focus on both S4HANA and SAP ECC systems.
• Proficiency in SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) reporting and ETL processes.
• Strong experience working with PostgreSQL databases, including data transformation and loading techniques.

• Advanced knowledge of R and Python, with the ability to convert R scripts to Python for seamless data processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• High proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the energy sector or utility industry.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
