Operational Risk Policy Analyst. The position reports to the VP Risk

About the job

• Supervise risk analysts who perform investigations to identify money laundering and fraud activities, and resolve escalated issues for team

• Develop new risk strategies and rules, and deliver actionable insights to analyse large and complex data sets to investigate potential money laundering/fraud attacks and vulnerabilities

• Familiarity of working with large datasets and strong knowledge of SQL is a must

• Working knowledge of a programming language such as Phython or R will be an advantag

• Analyse fraud trends and institute appropriate proactive actions to control fraud losses taking into consideration risk versus customer impact

• Keep current on fraud and AML trends for the payment industry

• Deliver periodic reports to management, networks and regulators

To be successful you will

• Have a considerable knowledge and experience (2+ years) in the fraud and AML environment

• Have a strong understanding of the payment technology industry

• Possess strong risk management principles, methodologies and tools, governance principles preferably in a financial services technology environment

• Be customer focused with a passion to work closely with other internal stakeholders and teams

• Be results oriented with strong influencing skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities

• Demonstrate aptitude to think creatively to identify new ways to approach common risk and data security problems
