Overview

As a Cloud Data Warehouse Engineer at National Debt Relief, you will be a member of the team responsible for building out a new enterprise data warehouse (EDW) on Snowflake within our AWS environment. You will be responsible for integrations, CI/CD pipelines, data security, and access controls, and handle curation of business-critical data from Salesforce and other sources into a consolidated data platform. This hands-on individual contributor role requires a skilled technical expert who can implement robust data models, optimize and scale computer resources, and ensure cost-effective data management.

Responsibilities

• Execute on development and implementation of the enterprise data warehouse on Snowflake within AWS.• Implement scalable data models and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.• Integrate data from various sources, including Salesforce, using Mulesoft, FiveTran or a similar platform.• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate data integration and deployment processes.• Implement Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAG) for workflow management in data processing.• Implement robust data security measures and access controls to ensure data privacy and compliance.• Optimize the cost management of data storage and compute resources within the Snowflake environment.• Scale compute resources efficiently to meet varying data processing demands.• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field preferred if relevant. • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering or data warehouse development.

• Expert proficiency in both SQL and Python.• Proven experience in integrating data sources via a variety of methods including flat file & API.• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and workflow management tools like Airflow.• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data curation.• Knowledge of data security, access controls, and compliance best practices.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Experience in financial services or a related industry, preferred.• Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts, preferred.• Understanding of data governance and quality management practices, preferred.• Computer competency, including the use of a keyboard and ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.• Prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.• Punctuality expected, ready to report to work on a consistent basis.• Attain and maintain high performance expectations on a monthly basis.• Work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.• Use and navigate multiple computer systems with exceptional multi-tasking skills. • Remain calm and professional during difficult discussions.• Take constructive feedback.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $113,500 to $137,000 annually.
