Data Product Owner

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify key challenges and opportunities where data can provide solutions.
• Develop a clear vision and roadmap for data products, aligned with overall business objectives.
• Translate business needs into user stories and product requirements for the data science and engineering teams.
• Prioritize the product backlog and manage the development lifecycle of data products.
• Work closely with data scientists and engineers to ensure the technical feasibility of product ideas.
• Champion data quality and ensure data products adhere to data governance standards.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of data products.
• Analyze usage data and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and iterate on data products.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, keeping them informed of progress and driving adoption of data products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, data science, computer science) or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in product management, data analysis, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the data lifecycle and data governance principles.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage projects effectively.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools is a plus.
• Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, or other data management technologies (a plus).
